Special Sisters with Lisa Andrews

This month Glitz Designs has a perfect challenge that encourages everyone to make a project about special women in our lives.

For the challenge, I decided to to a layout about my sister Melanie and I.  We live on opposite sides of the US, so we don't get to see each other very often. (I do have two other wonderful sisters, but I do get to see them a lot more than I see Melanie!) Having a picture of us together is a rare treat. Our family got to travel to North Carolina for a visit with my sister and her family over our spring break, so I had a photo of us ready to use on a layout.

The great thing about my sisters is that even if we haven't been together for a while we just pick up where we left off and have a great time together.

The Glitz Happy Travels line was perfect for this page. The airplane elements worked great since we flew to see each other. Plus the epoxy stickers said just the right words.

For my second layout today, I used some photo booth photos plus an Instagram photo.

My favorite thing on this page could be the "I Love Your Face" stickers. At first I thought it would be an unusual thing to say, but when I put it with these funny face photo booth photos, they were a perfect match.

There are so many pretty things in the Glitz Pretty in Pink line and I just kept layering them up on this page. My favorite new Glitz product is the 6 X 6 paper pads. The small print and size are perfect for layering up. Plus I feel like I can cut up and use the paper pad because it won't run out as quickly as my more limited supply of larger paper.

Thinking of You with Kristii Lockart

Happy May Day dear friends!!!  It's hard to believe it's already the first of May and it's time to start a new Glitz Design challenge!!!  Here's the challenge:

What an awesome challenge for the Month of May!!!  For me personally, Mother's day is a tough day.  My mom is no longer here with us, but I know she is always in my heart and I think about her each and every day!  So, for my challenge cards I chose to make Thinking of You Cards to honor my mom.  Here's my take on the challenge:

There are lots of layers in this card including a Peek a Boo from the French Kiss line of goodies. I printed the sentiment onto cream cardstock and then inked the edges.  I covered the sentiment with a Pretty Ink Pink Glitzer and then fussy cut the edges.  It makes for a perfect custom-made sentiment!!

The next card is made using the beautiful French Kiss Whatnots as inspiration. I totally love the French Kiss Whatnots!! They are completely gorgeous!!

I used a little heirloom lace, seam binding ribbon and a doily to add some layers and vintage goodness to this card.  It's amazing what a little lace and ribbon can do!!!

May 2012 Glitz Design Blog Challenge

Beautiful Life with Karola Witczak

Hello everyone! Karola here with new inspiration for you! 

This month we have another fantastic challenge and this month so many countries enjoy beautiful spring, right? Our challenge is about creating projects with a spring touch...

...and my first layout is also about spring, first spring of my friend's daughter. Cute baby face in a first spring sun - it's a beautiful theme to work with! I used here Pretty In Pink collection with a little help from Beautiful Dreamer line. I picked soft colors to make fresh, delicate page. I totally love the new product - Layered Stickers and I am sure you will love them too! Beautiful quotes and classic design is perfect for every occasion! As usually I used Paper Layers on the background and matting the photo. Pretty In Pink have absolutely stunning Paper Layers, very shabby chic and very classy!

My second today's layout is about loving the life. Life is so beautiful, just look around and ... experience it! This is the title of my page, which I made with photo of me and with amazing Happy Travels collection. As you can see this line is very versatile - my page is not about travel, but about life journey - you can create everything what you want using this fantastic collection and with these fabulous retro colors palette - i love it!

Pretty Cards with Iwona Palamountain

I didn't have much time until now, to take a closer look at the Winter CHA collections from Glitz Design. They've been sitting on my desk, teasing me, being utterly gorgeous and all that. I'm sure you know the drill. You may also know that shiver of excitement when you cut into a brand new sheet for the first time, if you happen to be a paper junkie like me... Boy, did it happen a lot earlier today! Wanna see the results?? Lots of pink here. No wonder, for I used the fabby Pretty In Pink line! My favourite from it are the all-new Layered Stickers, and one of them I made a focal point on this card. Swoon! I also used the back sides of the papers, for the die-cutting.

Spring Pastels with Jolaine Frias

Hello there! Today is my turn to give this month's challenge a try. The beautiful images in the collage below couldn't be more perfect for spring and using Glitz products made the challenge a breeze.

When I think of spring, I think of pretty flowers and pastel colors so I pulled out some Beautiful Dreamer scraps and came up with this LO.

The photo is very special as this was the first time my daughter attended a father-daughter dance. It was important for me to journal about the event so I tucked a tag behind the photo to hide my journaling.

For my next layout, I played around with the beautiful French Kiss collection. I had been waiting for the perfect photo to use the gorgeous burlap paper!
