For my first layout, I used the photo as a sketch and tried to recreate its design features.
The Peek-A-Boo frame made it easy to include the round element in place of the mirror and all the fussy cut flowers helped me re-create the garland on the mantle. Here's a couple of close-ups...
For my next layout, I wanted to create a wintry page using a monochromatic palette, just like in the photo. Though Glitz doesn't have a winter-themed collection, I thought blue, cream and ivory would help me scrap this photo of my daughter wearing a Santa hat (though I cropped the red part off).
I used a mini album page and a doily die for my background. I also stamped a couple of images onto my page.Thanks so much for visiting the Glitz blog today. I hope you found inspiration in my post. And don't forget, the challenge of the month is still going on!
