Selfish as it may sound, but my resolution is to give myself more time for me. I love my family, but I often give them prime priority above me. So, this year I will match that by giving myself equal time (e.g. shopping, dining alone, whatever!!).

Everything year I have made the same old resolution to get in shape, this year, however, things are different. I am determined to get more done in my scrapbooks. We lost my dad in September, and as we were going through old family photos to use on the memory boards at the funeral home, it occurred to me how many stories were lost. We may never know the memories behind all those photos. I want my children's children's children to be able to open books and know who I was through the photos and stories.

I have a few resolutions as well but one of the most important for me is craving out time to be with my family. In the past year I had 2 kids going into a treatment center for anger issues and our family reaaly took a hit with thier disorders. This year they are both doing well and our family needs to start mending. I want to make crafts and teach my older ones how to cook. I want to have family game nights and also include an out of the house activity for all of us. Bowling, snow trip to mtns. whatever just be together and learn to love each other. Sorry so deep but it's what I want most this coming year and I want my scrapbooks to reflect our changes as a family.

My resolution is to get life as under control as I can with a 5 month old. Since he came along - days and nights have become such a blur. My resolution is to come up with a system of getting a little bit of everything fit into the day - a little upkeep on the house, lots of play with baby, time to cook (something I love but rarely do much of lately) some scrapping time- a shower would be nice everyday or at least every other day.... LOL! I want to balance/manage my time better than I do.

All those goodies in the giveaway look awesome!!

Oh boy, where to start. I am always on the weight thing but this new year I will have a wedding coming up so I really have to stick with it. Then I am determined to clean up clutter. I spent time at my moms in November and with her getting older, she doesn't throw stuff away (like a years worth of TV guides) so I decided I want less in my house so my girls won't feel so overwhelmed when I get older. I also need to get my scraproom organinzed and keep it that way (and stop buying stuff on sale - I have my own store now)!!! I think that will just about do it. Although I probably could think of more !!! LOL

'Tis the season for reflection and renewal. I have spent the last few days reflecting on last year and missed goals and completed goals and thinking about the coming year. I have decided not to set resolutions, they don't last past the first week of January. I am however making a list of goals for the coming year, that seemed to last because it is more specific than lose weight or scrap and create more. My two big goals are lose 10 pounds this year (more would be better but I want it to be achievable ) and scrap a minimum of 250 pages. My 2007 goal was 125 and I almost hit 250. I have many photos and stories to tell and want to challenge myself to use the fun produces that are available and tell these stories. Wish me luck.

I have one New Year's resolution this year - to become fit & healthy. For years I've tried to lose weight by dieting but that doesn't work. I think my husband was a french chef in another life! I've taken the plunge and bought a 2year gym membership & paid for 2months worth of sessions with a personal trainer to get me started. I'm serious this year about reaching a healthy and fit level for myself. I'm not going to put numbers to it because that just adds so much stress. I just want to feel good physically and emotionally.

Well, anyway, I'm going to do one page each month to document my progress (or lack of). Hopefully, when I get to where I can say I've made it, I'll have all the nice little bling bling embellies to snazzy up my final page. :)

Tracy said...

I like so many others resolve to be more healthy. I want to spend more active time with my family - hiking, skiing, and camping.

my resolution for the new year is to not have a resolution and just thank God for keeping me and my family in his graces. After almost losing my husband in a terrible car wreck and losing a baby this year...I'm much more thankful for the smaller things, that we take for granted, in life.

Well, I seem to have the same goals every year. This is the year I finally achieve the weight loss. I would like to be like Valerie Bertanelly for Jenny Craig and not have a weight loss goal. This is going to be a hard resolution for me, but I am determind to do it.

After raising 5 kids and being a SAHM for 29 years I am going out to the job world and I am scared to death. My daughter turned 18 last July and it has taken me that long to get up and out looking. I am 47 and I am still pretty young (I think anyways) so I hope to find one by next week. Wish me luck!

I resolve to use more of what I have on hand. That way I will be ready for more new stuff! Or is it that I need new stuff to be more resolved to use what I have on hand?

My goal this year is to get involved with scrapbooking challenges and dares and get completed layouts into albums. I also plan to use as much of my scraps as I can to make cards so I can RAK other scrappers and stampers.

I need to lose some weight, sell the old house and get the old barn thrown down.

My resolution is really not to make one. I had the idea of setting goals and not making them - it makes me sad. So rather than making a resolution, I will try to lose weight, have more me time, stop being annoyed at my son and enjoy life more. Those are goals I can strive for without making them resolutions.

What could my resolution be?

I've learned alot in the past 3 yrs with Husband having a 5 bypass, next yr house burned to the ground ,no one was lost!!!, and this yr my son of 27 died on memorial day in a fatal car crash. So what I'v learned through this is that there is, out there, Christ's unconditional love ...Thats all anyone wants and is searching for in this life...
My New Years resolution is to help others find that as I have.Through scapping is the easyist way to the heart...I am doing a scapbook of the photos I have found from other realtives...Of the times in the last 2 yrs we have made memories ...one for each of my 10 living children.I hope to inspire others that its never to late to start!!!!
Love your Hot Mamma and Bling!!!!!

I never make New Years Resolutions because it seems that noone ever sticks to them. But, I would like to try to eat out less this year, and save some money, as well as quit smoking. I'm already 8 days without a smoke!! Its been hard but I smell better! We'll see what happens I guess.

I really really need to start working out but that seems too far fetched to make as a resolution so... I resolve to be a better mom, play more, laugh more and go on more adventures.

This year, I resolve to learn one song REALLY WELL on my piano. No more just tinkering around.

Now, I just have to choose a song, I am leaning towards "C'Mon Get Happy" (the Partridge Family Theme Song) as I always wanted to be Laurie (Susan Dey)playing the keyboards next to David Cassidy!!

I have 2 resolutions first the easier one will be to more diligent regading my organized mess other wise known as my house and keep it a bit neater. The second is to be more patient and be calm. I have one son with Asperger's syndrome and the other with ADHD and oh sometimes it is so hard. BUT I want to be a good example to them. I want to maintain peace in the chaos...me maintaing the calm would definitely help...so that is what I am going to do. Wish me luck !

My new year's resolution is to "just do it!" (to pilfer the old Nike saying). To just get in there and create, without any worries of it is "just right" and use my favorites, instead of hoarding them. And since I am into Blinging in a rather large way I would love to "bling with you"!!

My new years resolution is to be Inspired:

I want to be inspired to:

have time to do what I want to do without worrying about time, chores, money
create wonderful personal masterpieces with my scrapbooking/stamping/mis cellaneous crafting
become a better person, spritually and mentally
be a better parent to my children
be a better spouse to my husband
be a better friend to those whom I have the priviledge to call "friend"
not sit in front of the TV, or computer, thinking about what I should be doing and go do it
create a cleaner, more organized home where I will not be embarrased if someone drops over unannounced
