Floral Beauty with Christine Penaflor

Good morning! Christine here, and it’s time for me to share a couple more cards that I’ve designed using the fabulous Maya and Kismet collections from Glitz Designs.

This first card was created using a combination of both collections. The green distressed paper is the reverse side of the Maya Damask (M2280) paper. It provides a great vibrant background for the red Kismet Ledger (K2860) paper.

I used a EK Success border punch to created the scalloped border around the ledger paper and stitched this to the green paper. Next, I cut out a couple of flowers from the Maya Floral (M2266) patterned paper. After adhering the ribbon and lace onto the front of the card, I layered the cut out flowers onto the card front using foam adhesive.  A Petaloo flower was adhered to the cut out flowers and a Glitz frosting rhinestone was added to the center of the flower.

Finally, the borders of the ledger paper were embellished with more clear and pink Glitz frosting rhinestones, and the sentiment was added using the adorable black round Glitz Teeny Alpha stickers (C2808).

For the next card, I used both collections again. The dark blue patterned paper is from the Maya collection (Maya Navy – M2877). I stitched this piece of paper onto the card front and layered another piece of the red Kismet Ledger paper (K2860) which was also punched with the EK Success scalloped border punch.

I added a border of white lace and green ribbon to the left side of the card and then added the cardstock sentiment sticker from the Maya Titles set.

Finally, I added a Petaloo flower with a clear Glitz frosting rhinestone in the center and embellished the card with white Prima pearl swirls.

Thank you so much for visiting today!
