Maya Dreams & Love with Christine Penaflor

Good morning! It’s Christine again, and today I would like to share a couple of projects that I created recently using the Maya Collection from Glitz Design.

This first card includes a patchwork background made using some Maya Damask (M2280) paper. I simply cut out a mat from green cardstock and then adhered a piece of the Glitz damask paper which had been cut into four rectangular pieces and spaced about 1/8” apart onto the mat. Next, I punched a border along the pink side of the Maya Floral (M22266) paper and adhered this piece to the card base on the left of the patchwork background.

Then I adhered a couple of adorable flower stickers from the Maya Accents sticker set (C2495) which I embellished with some doodling and a few pink and clear Glitz frosting rhinestones (F2839). Finally, I added a rub on sentiment onto pink cardstock and adhered it to the card to complete it.

For the next card, I decided to use a clear card base which I created using a clear photo box from clearenvelopes.com. I cut the box down to the size that I wanted, and added a piece of Maya Stripe paper (M2273) to the inside part of the card base. Since the front of the card is clear, you can see the patterned paper through it.

Next, I stamped a border around the front of the card using Stazon opaque white stamping ink and the sheet music stamp from Glitz Designs’ Distressing stamp set (D2961).

Then I took a piece of green patterned paper which happens to be the back side of the Maya Stripe paper (M2273) and punched a border along the top. I adhered this piece to the front of the card and added another piece of green patterned paper from the Maya Patchwork paper (M2303).

After embellishing the front of the card with some ribbon, a flower, and a glittered chipboard heart, I added the Pink Block Teeny Alpha stickers (C2815) to the card for the sentiment to complete it.

Thank you for stopping by today! May you all have a blessed weekend!
