Distressed Couture Love Cards with Christine Penaflor

Good morning! Today I'd like to share two love-themed cards that I created using the Vintage Love and Distressed Couture collections from Glitz Designs.

For this first card, I created a card base using Bazzill cardstock and layered a piece of Vintage Love Damask (VL2358) patterned paper. The red ledger paper is from the Kismet collection (K2860), and I used a corner punch on all four corners before stitching a border around it.

Next, I made a tag from the opposite side of the Vintage Love Damask paper, embossed it with my Cuttlebug damask embossing folder, edged it with a Krylon gold foil marker, and added a glittered ribbon on top. This tag was adhered to the ledger paper and a cardstock sentiment sticker from the Distressed Couture Titles (C2426) was layered on top of it.

Finally, the card was embellished with a glittered chipboard heart, a Creative Imaginations felt flower, mini tag with a Glitz cardstock sentiment sticker (C2426), a length of lace, and a Prima pearl swirl.

The second card was created using the following patterned papers from the Distressed Couture collection by Glitz: Distressed Couture Polka (DC2486), Distressed Couture Stripe (DC2204), and Distressed Couture Floral (DC2198).

A piece of the opposite side of the Distressed Couture Floral paper was punched with an EK Success border punch, stitched, and layered on top of three vertical strips of patterned paper. The "I. Heart. You" sentiment sticker is from the Distressed Couture Accent Stickers sheet (C2471) and was layered onto the punched paper. A tag created from the red side of the Distressed Couture Stripe paper was layered with two hearts cut from the Distressed Couture Accent Stickers set.

Finally, the card was embellished with a length of white trim and mini flowers, a silk flower, and a pearl swirl from Prima.

Thanks so much for joining us today!
