Inked & Misted Layouts with Sasha Halloway

Wanted to introduce some color in my layouts using ranger inks, random mist's and Glitz stamps.

When I decided to use this photo. I altered the colors a bit in the photo straight out the camera. I wanted to work with something a little distressed looking and fun at the same time and so I decided to mist the background with K.I Memories Lace cardstock and Tattered Angels Chalkboard mists in Charcoal. Once I let that dry and then used the Glitz stamps and Ranger Ink and stamped random colors on white cardstock and used a 2 inch scallop punch to cut them out. To get the bling look I added some stickles in each scallop.  I used the following materials:
Hallow Stripes H2699
Glitz Frame Stamps
Rebel Muscles R2459
Redo Button

I think that black and white photos or a pastel sort of sepia/black with slight colors look really good on busy backgrounds and with bold colors like red, black and other deep colors. So with this I used the grid photo pattern that I always use. A great tip I love to use besides Photoshop is that I always go to Picnik for quick photo mosaics. So if you are wondering how to get yourself some mosaic photos try out Picnik. Here is what I used for the layout above:
Rebel Houndstooth R2473
Distressed Couture Blocks DC2310
 Glitz Grid Rub-on
Olivia Roses o2037
Now your turn to mix up some products and play with color. Have a great day
