Vintage Love Frame & Rosette Necklace with Nicole Petersen

i love taking something i paid less than $5 for and turning it into a piece of art, which adds charm to my home. here i bought a wooden frame from a discount store for $1.20! i first sanded it a bit, glued a beautiful piece of glitz paper from the vintage love collection, inked the edges with distress inks from ranger, and embellished with cardstock stickers, rub-ons, fabric flowers, and bling! easy and fun!

next, i created a rose using glitz's paper layers and punches. the thin paper which the paper layers are made from are perfect for bending and molding 3-d paper flowers. of course, i couldn't resist painting the finished flower with a little shimmerz blingz! i hot glued the completed flower onto an antique frame and black ribbon, which created a beautiful choker. now, it wasn't meant to be for our cat, but my model was asleep! LOL! try making a necklace using your scrapping supplies! cheap and fun.

thanks for visiting us on our glitz blog!
