My favorite tradition is certainly the decorating of the tree. We're starting some new traditions (pictures with Santa) this year with having a baby which are probably going to replace some ones we had when it was just us (like seeing the light displays).

OMG, I absolutely LOVE both of these collections...I was just thinking of buying the Hoopla collection, perfect for my dd's bday pics...Okay, so our favorite Christmas Tradition is...
Every Christmas Eve, we let our two children open ONE gift and its always the same...a new pair of Christmas pajamas, then we make Christmas cookies for Santa and watch the movie "A Christmas Story". My children just love this tradition each and every year and they always try to let us let them open more then one present, but it never works...lol :)
Love both of these collections, just gorgeous :)

We try to do an annual family photo each Christmas - it's great how our family is growing through the years. We all attend church on Christmas Eve then go out for a seafood feast at a local buffet restaurant. Then home to exchange gifts. Love our laid back christmas. Love these collections too and would be thrilled to win.

Thank you for the chance to win :)

Our favorite Holiday tradition is actually held on New Year's Eve...We celebrate with sledding and a special meal as to us it will always be Reece Home Coming Day. Our son was released from NICU after a 37 day stay :)

Christmas Eve, we go over to Nana's and she reads a Christmas story after the gift exchange, a tradition passed down from great grandma.

My favorite Christmas tradition is normally putting up and decorating the tree the first Saturday of December but since it was a busy year this year for us we did it Monday night. Sad it had worked out that way but Loved my kids Christmas program more. The next one I love that I started 4 years ago is every Christmas eve night my kids get PJs to open up and able to wear that night. We usually get home late from a Christmas party with my family so it's nice to come home they go to the tree open one last gift before parting off to bed. Plus they get a new pair of PJs since every year they grow and usually outgrow the PJs they own. We also watch (I suffer through more than one which is all I usually can handle) "A Christmas Story - 24 hour Marathon" even if it is on our DVD Collection.

My favorite tradition is probably baking with the Christmas music playing...this is the only time of the year that I really love to bake and make yummy treats for friends.
So excited you are part of Teresa's 25 favorite things...I love GLITZ designs and the women behind it!!! Hugs to all!

My favorite Christmas tradition is baking cookies w/the kids. Some of their decorative creations have been rather, er..."interesting" and daddy feels obligated to eat them all since each child picks out one special cookie to put on Santa's plate.

Your collections are lovely! Thanks for offering the giveaway. Our most favorite tradition is to change the theme of our tree each year. The year we had a Japanese exchange student, we made origami angels!

Our favorite family tradition is our Christmas candlelight service followed by a dinner out at the same restaurant every year. We love the glow of the candles and the singing of Silent night at the end of the service.!

My favorite tradition is Christmas Baking. We (me & my daughter) invite a group of friends & family over each year and just get in the kitchen & bake. It's not about how much or what we bake - it's all about the mothers spending time with the daughters baking and making memories and its always such a blast!

floridagirl said...

wow these collections are amazing!! My favorite Holiday traditions are spending time with my daughter baking. listening to Christmas music, and Black Friday shopping together. Sadly she moved to Illinois this year to attend College - so we were not able to do these things together...but we did share quite a bit of time on the phone while Black Friday shopping - it was the next best thint to being there. She is coming home for Christmas (and I can't wait to hug her) we will do some shopping and baking then - I am so anxious!!

PamSpradlin said...

My favorite tradition is being able to get the family together on Christmas and attend the children's service at our church. Then we head back to the house and find that Santa has already arrived.

Ann Cicilie said...

Oh, this is my dream giveaway :D

My favourite tradition is going home to my parents with my family, and celebrate christmas with them. We only get to see eachother about 4 times a year, so it's magic for us :)

Sesil Cratin said...

Love the collections!
Family tradition...we would go to church on Christmas Eve..And while at church Santa would drop off our presents, because he had to get a jump start to get everything done. So we would have our gifts after church. And for some reason, he always would forget something on Christmas Eve...so on Christmas day we would have one gift to open.

Charlie LaBonte said...

For years, I held off on putting up any decoratons until AFTER the 5th of December. Why?? That day is my Son's birthday. I wanted his day to be special and not compete with the Holiday and lights and glitz. We would then go out and get our Christmas Tree the weekend following his birthday. He is 34 now and has long ago left home to start his own traditions, but I still honor what was started from the day he was born.

mommyof5kidz said...

OMGoodness....You have no idea how much IN LOVE I am with those 2 collections!!!! I have been working with Kismet and LOVE the quality of the paper...but those 2 new collections ROCK MY WORLD!!!
My favorite tradition to do with my family is Christmas Eve at my hubby's grandmother's house. She is 81, and we literally spend the ENTIRE day at her house. We play games, watch movies, sing Christmas carols, eat popcorn and hot chocolate...then when it is dark, we exchange gifts and each person tells something that they have been blessed with this year. I love to hear what the little ones say. THOSE are the moments that really matter!!!!

Summer Braxton said...

I look forward to watching a Charlie brown Christmas several times every christmas season. I wish we had more classics and new movies that "knew" what christmas is all about.

Jennifer said...

This year we started a tradition that my family did when I was growing up...Christmas countdown. Each day I leave a note with a clue and the kids get to look for some little treat or we get to do some fun activity that day. The kids have had so much fun with this and look forward to it each day!

Conchi said...

Our favorite Chritsmas tradition is the night of New Year...
We celebrate this day with a special meal with all the family :)

Thank you for the chance to win the giveaway!!!!

Our favorite Christmas tradition starts in July when we turn up the AC here in So CA, put on the Christmas music, make some hot chocolate and create our Christmas cards. We completely hand-craft 100 each year.

I just love the tradition of decorating the tree as a family, listening to christmas music and enjoying each other. also we always open one present on christmas ever and it's always new christman pjs to wear!!! makes for GREAT photos!!!

Karey said...

One of our traditions is since we are up past midnight anyway, we open a gift or two on Christmas Eve. As the kids got older we had to change our traditions.
So for about the last 9yrs after the gifts are opened and lunch is over we head to the theater. There is always a good movie or two out @ this time. I'm sure when the sons get married we will have new traditions. Merry Christmas to all!

Karen AKA Soccerboyzmom said...

you are so generous to give these 2 collections away and I would love to aquire them.
My tradition is filling the stocking with all sorts of things, even though my little boys are now MEN and Santa fills mine also ( I taught them to do mine better). It usually takes us an hour to go thru them.

Terri B said...

My favorite tradition is on Christmas day. Instead of the usual holiday dinner, we made about 20 hor d'oeuvres and numerous desserts and we all snack and eat when we want. There is no pressure, everybody is relaxed and we can all enjoy the day! Love the new lines, lucious as always!

Katy Young said...

Love the look of both of these collections! We have so many Christmas traditions. One is to make homemade fudge every year!

Maggie Lamarre said...

My favorite tradition is seeing the Angel tree empty and all the presents piled up under it, knowing each child will get a present.
Seeing the joy on their beautiful faces as they get to pen their presents.
It's unfortunately people don't realized how hard migrant workers work and in bad conditions.
Happy holidays everyone,

My favorite tradition is the one my children have brought to our house the last few years. THE ELVES! They each have three elves and through their innocence and belief in goodness, they "do silly and mischevious things" during the night like raid the candy bag or sit in the freezer because it reminds them of the North Pole. It just cracks me up!! LOL

In the morning we are going to the "Christkindlesmarkt". It is a tradition passed down from my husbands father. In the afternoon we are going to the grandparents, have tea with cookies and exchange gifts.

My favorite tradition is the Christmas breakfast. Now that I'm older and have a family of my own, it just warms me to go home for Christmas morning to my parents.

A "FUN" tradition for our family is hiding a pickle in the tree. Yes, we have a pickle ornament..it's not a real pickle. Every one has a turn through out the holiday to find the pickle hidden in the tree. I have a gift for every one, so when they find the pickle they get their gift. Young and old like this tradition.

Marilyn Nimmo said...

My favorite holiday tradition is spending time with family!!!! I love decorating as well, but family is the best part of any holiday!

What a fantastic prize! My favorite holiday tradition is our "family" tree. Ever since my husband and I first started dating, we would each give the other a new ornament representing something about them. We have continued the tradition with our sons that are 6 and 3 years old. Over the years, we have almost 50 ornaments on our family tree now. It is fun pulling them out each year to see what we have gotten each other over the years...whether documenting a love for a hobby or interest, a pregnancy/birth, or commemorating the love of a lost pet it always is a time to reminisce and remember. The greatest part is that the boys will each have their own set of special ornaments when they are grown.

Holly Kolvig said...

MY favorite Christmas Tradition is so special to me. Ever year my family (hubby, and 3 kids now 2,5,&7) get small care packages together. We tie or sew fleece or flannel lap blankets, activity items like chalkboard and chalk, bubbles, coloring books and crayons, watercolor books and brushes, little dolls or action figures, stuffed animals, paper and embellishments so they can make cards) and wrap them up and deliver them to any children who have to spend Christmas Eve at the local hospital. It warms my heart every year and I get such a joy "shopping" and get things together in a storage tote all year long. I get giddy the day after Thanksgiving because we spend time separating the goodies in age and gender appropriate piles then Christmas Eve day we listen to carols, light candles and wrap them up. We ALWAYS make handmade cards to attach to the bundles. My children also have grown to LOVE this tradition. It teaches the need of love and compassion to all mankind, even those we do not know. This year the children (older two) asked to have Santa deliver their presents to the poor children instead of themselves this year because they already have "too many toys, and we always are having to pick them up, the poor children need clothes and toys and to be happy."

Aren't I a lucky Momma!

One of my favourite traditions is the Christmas Eve candlelight service at church and then coming home to open gifts. I love the holidays so much it is hard to choose one tradition that is my favorite. I love decorating the tree and the house, baking cookies, and crafting with my family. But I would have to say that my favorite Family tradition is on Christmas Eve when after we open one gift from under the tree we make some tasty cups of hot cocoa, sit cuddled up by the fire and read the Christmas Story out loud to the family. The adults take turns reading through the Book and explaining answers to any of the children's questions. It really is about that family time and knowing there is more to the season then just the gift you got. Yup I would have to say those moments are my favorite. Thanks so much for bringing me down memory lane and for the handsome giveaway.

Happy Holidays to all!

My favorite tradition at our house is definitely the decorating of the tree.... I have been blessed to have been given some very old family ornaments, that I remember growing up, and I am able to share them, and my memories with my children every year.

SW Ranches Donna said...

My favorite Christmas tradition involves our neighbors. Several don't have any kids or the kids have grown up and aren't around on Christmas morning, so we hold off our present opening until they all get here, and afterward everyone pitches in to make a breakfast buffet. Then everyone goes off to do their other plans, and then we meet back at my house on Christmas evening, where my husband makes a prime rib on the grill rotisserie, and we have snacks and hors d'oeuvres and some wine and all relax and enjoy each other's company while the kids play with the Wii and eat WAY too much sugar!

jengd said...

A big tradition for us is just loading up the tree with the family ornaments until we can't find any place on it to put more.

Our family tradition started when our girls started giving us grandchildren. Our first grandchild was a BOY and I have always loved the Christmas Story. With that in Mind we bought a Mighty Tonka Truck for the boys to have their first Christmas picture taken in. It reminds me of Jesus being swaddled in the manger. Rhyen was swaddled into his new truck. That was back in 2004. Rhyen now 6 had the first Tonka truck and then Brayden,5, Zachary,3, Trayce, 2, Aaron 1 1/2, and now Baby Izak 4 months old. This year we can not find that Mighty Tonka truck. We had to find a new truck and it was the Cat Ride on truck. It is a step up from our Tonka truck. We have a set of Twin girls and we make sugar cookies with them and they get to serve the family. We sit and have hot cocoa with our cookies in a little Red Creamer pitcher and tiny red coffee cups. They live for those little red cups and sit with us and tell us all kinds of their stories. It is such a precious time! Your papers are so cute and will go with any thing you decide to scrap.I am a paper collector and look for ways to complete pages of those 8 beautiful grand children.

I am so excited cause I LOVE you girls and your products so much!!! My favorite Christmas tradition is one my great grandmother started during the depression. She did not want any of her grown, married children torn about where to have Christmas dinner. So she invited all her kith and kin to Christmas breakfast! Great Grandma Maxwell hosted her first Christmas breakfast at the family homestead at the height of the depression and eggs were hard to get, so she made her famous sausage gravy and biscuits so there would be enough for all of her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She also served it on all kinds of mixed china that she had collected from soap boxes over the years. Since then, Christmas breakfast has become a family tradition celebrated by hundreds of Maxwell decendants across the nation; always with lots of family, love and sausage gravy with biscuits. And it is not quite done until I pull out Grandma Maxwell's mismatched soap box plates to serve it on!

Dear Friends, the request to bring back favorite traditions brought a big smile to my face and Thank You! It was going to my Aunt Mary's for a chili and oyster stew supper. Somehow Santa would arrive and leave packages under the tree. To this day at age 60, I have still never figured out how my Aunt Mary did that trick in with complete magic! I tried for years to trick her and watch but I was never able to figure it out! After our gift opening it was off to midnight mass--and it was always colder than you could imagine as I grew up in Minnesota. But it was always part of Christmas the mystery of Santa coming! Thank you for asking and love your paper and designs too!! Happy Holidays, Cathy R

I really try to keep a lot of the traditions alive telling the stories of old ornaments, recipes made with Grami, opening PJ's on Christmas eve to look nice for santa, and the most silly but one of the best ones is going to waffle house in the middle of the night when the kids & my overgrown kid aka hubby couldn't wait to open gifts so christmas was at 2 am lol

Thank you for this opportunity to win! My favorite Christmas tradition is having my daughters' pictures taken with Santa. It's so fun to see how they're going to react each year. I have a 1 year old and a 2 year old. It seems that when they're under a year, they do okay with Santa, but around 1 and 2 they're terrified of him! I'm hoping they do okay this year though. :)

Wowzers! Those are amazing and gorgeous collection!!!

Our favorite tradition is the new pj's for the kids (2nd year for the baby!!!) We take their picture by the tree and then make cookies for Santa with them helping.

I created an advent calendar for them, but will bring that out tomorrow. Our 3 year old won't sleep once he starts seeing and hearing all about Santa again. he he!!!

For my 49 years of life (as far as I remember) we celebrated Christmas eve - the neighborhood would all dress up as Mary, Joseph, Kings, animals and play out the birth of Jesus and the manger. Then at midnight in pjs and all the family (cousin, friends)would be able to open up each others gifts. We would bake cookies and leave some with milk for santa. Then Christmas morning we would open up what Santa Clause brought us. We continue this tradition with all the kids and adults (we all believe)! Thanks Teresa for choosing the Glitz Girls - my gals!

Janice said...

Our favorite holiday tradition started when our first son was 6 months old and we set up his playpen by the Christmas tree and we slept on the floor next to him. Every year until last year (he is 22 now) we have slept by the tree with all 3 of our children and wake up to open presents.

THANK YOU for participating with Teresa Collins...I love both of your products!! My favorite tradition is to take our two children to a matinee movie and drive through town to look at lights on Christmas Eve late afternoon early evening. It seems to slow us all down and put our focus on each other so that we are that much more ready to truly embrace the real meaning of Christmas and to celebrate our saviors birth.

What has become a tradition, started many years ago, when I was a child. Donating to the Salvation Army. I remember seeing the red kettles outside of stores every year. I give what ever I can spare everytime I see them. I always have and I have been teaching my son to. Every little bit counts. I even worked for the Salvation Army one Christmas Season. They do so much. Some day I may need them. Helping people is such a great tradition to keep going.

Our favorite tradition is decorating the Christmas tree. Every year, we buy a new ornament to add onto the tree. This year, since we adopted a rescue dog, our ornament is a very cute golden retriever!

So excited to discover your beautiful lines!!! My fave Christmas tradition is decorating the tree with my children while my husband is cooking Chili and then together we watch a Christmas movie. It's so cozy and a wonderful change of pace during the crazy holiday season. Somehow we end up thinking about the true reason for the season. Thanks for giving!!!!

In our house, we never put gifts under the tree until late Christmas eve so that noone sees the wrapped packages until Christmas morning...my kids are now grown and bring their children for Christmas and even though the kids are parents, too..they still like seeing the packages on Christmas morning.

Wow these collections are gorgeous. I'm already thinking of so many ways to use them. Thanks for offering these wonderful prizes.
One of my favorite traditions is pulling out all the holiday decorations & getting the house ready for the month of December. I love putting the wreath on the front door, hanging the Kissing Ball, setting up the North Pole Village, & filling up the snowman cookie jar. It makes me happy to be able to welcome my family & friends to my home.

My favorite Christmas tradition is our family breakfast at Nana and poppa's house. My brother, his wife and family come over too, and we all enjoy a fancy breakfast before opening presents. Santa even makes a second stop there for the kids so they think its pretty special too.
Thanks for the chance to win these lovely lines!

Oh, this giveaway definitely jingles my bells :)
Thanks for being so very generous. My favorite Christmas tradition is baking cookies - we have a designated "cookie day" and with everyone helping, the kids sneaking goodies, the yummy smells, the Christmas music in the background - it's a very special day for our family.

My favorite holiday tradition is going to convalescent hospitals and singing and playing music for seniors who sadly do not get out much. They enjoy it so much and we love to play music so it is a win-win! Definitely do not feel like it is a burden to do!

WOW! What a generous, AMAZING prize! My favorite tradition is reindeer food! On Christmas Eve we got out front and throw Reindder food on the ground. It has sparkles so that they can see it from the sky and land at our home. The children make a Christmas wish while distributing it. Beautiful! I am loving reading everyone's traditions. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas with abundant blessings.

Love Love both of these collections!

My favorite Christmas tradition is going to my mom's for Santa's big drop off and being with family all day playing games, watching football and cherishing the real reason we celebrate this day, the birth of Jesus.

Happy Holidays!

My favorite tradition is going out to get the Christmas tree, and then putting it up and decorating it! I love to put on Christmas music and have fun with my family :) Now that I'm in college that's one thing I've learned to appreciate more, because those special moments with Mom & Dad are fewer and farther between.

I love that we have started a new family tradition of having brunch on christmas eve. we don't get to see our friends over the holidays and a lot of them are in town visiting family only for a few days. so we have the friends and kids over christmas eve morning and we eat brunch in our pj's! then everyone disperses to go shower and get ready for their family festivities. it's great! p.s. so are the Mamosas ;)

My favorite holiday tradition is to take the whole family for a "light looking" ride - it must be my love for all things GLITZ, because I so enjoy seeing all the pretty houses decorated for Christmas. We actually do this for MANY nights during December!

I LOVE these collections! Beautiful! We have a tradition of baking cut-out cookies together. My three kids and I. We've been doing it for the last 6-7 years now and it's been such a fun thing to look forward to every year. We cut and frost and sprinkle and sing fun Christmas songs while we make the cookies. Fun times.

Our favorite tradition is a Christmas Eve scavenger hunt. The kids love it.

my MOST favorite tradition is to let the kids trim the tree. totally. well, except for the lights. every year they put on the decorations and the only rule is (now that they are old enough to put on breakable ornaments) no breakables near the bottom, and no chairs or anything to reach higher. i love that every year we have a record of how tall they by how high the ornaments go on the tree!

My favourite tradition is baking Christmas treats with my girls. They have so much fun doing it and it's a way to get messy, have fun, and teach the kids that you don't have to buy gifts but you can always make them.

My favorite tradition is the Christmas play, my school sends the bus for some local seniors and they are the best audience you could ever ask for.

My favorite tradition is adding the lights to the tree. It was something my Dad did until he passed away (when I was 13).. I have been the "official" tree lighter since then....

Love Glitz Girls! Great giveaway!!

I love this collection and I love Teresa Collins!! Okay, our Christmas traditions. Every year we go to Nana's house for Christmas Eve. Every family has a different thing to do. With about 6 families we always invite our dear friends that feel like family too. One family will bring drinks and special decorated cups. One family brings appetizers. One family brings the main course. One family is in charge of games. One family is in charge of decorations and another in charge of decorating the table. One year I was in charge of the table decorations and I bought bags of nuts, I put out nut crackers, pears in many colors, pine branches, tinsel, gold foiled coins, almond roca and I made little scrapbooks for each seat. Another year, I brought a huge cheese platter with gourmet crackers, many-many cheeses, a bowl of honey, gourmet nuts, grapes, dried fruit, etc. Every year we all get so excited to use a new idea. Also, we play white elephant with a new theme each year. This is when everyone brings a gift, we put them in a pile, and everyone pulls numbers. The lower the number the person can steal gifts that have already been opened. It is always a real fun game. The final thing we do before bed is talk about and say prayers for kids around the world that don't have families and don't get Christmas gifts. Then early Christmas morning for two hours we go to our veterans shelter and hand out fruit, mixed nuts, pocket warmers, dried fruit, flashlights & batteries and knitted blankets and hats for the homeless that come into the shelter for help. That is the best part of every Christmas.

My favorite tradition is going out for the Christmas tree. It always seems to be a brisk winter day and just looking for the perfect tree every year is so exciting. Afterwards we have hot chocolate before we decorate the tree.

My favorite tradition is to celebrate with everyone who wants, the more the merrier family friends it is the most important.

We bake and make all kinds of sweets from hand all month long which I love to involve my young nieces in. But my other favorite tradition is that every year my mother gets everyone a new yearly ornament that symbolizes something that happened that year or something they were interested in. She writes our names and the year on the bottoms. It is so much fun to look and our tree and remember what each little thing reminds us of.

Cathy said...

How cool that you're on her list...you'd be on my list of Top 25 too!! My favourite tradition is the PJ's wrapped up the night before Christmas. We always pretend we don't know what's in that one-early present, but we all know.

One of my favorite family traditions is going out into K country and chopping down our own trees. Filled with sledding and hot cocoa. Can't beat a day like that

Our favorite tradition, as common as it may seem, is putting our big gold star at the top of the tree. I bought this star before I even had kids and kept it in my hope chest. Through marriage, divorce, single momdom, 2nd marriage, and 2 long distance moves, the star has been at the top of every tree, and always will be.
Merry Christmas Everyone.

We buy the entire family new pj's which we open on Christmas Eve. Everyone has to wear them for Christmas morning! We all look forward to it. Next would be cutting, baking, frosting and decorating sugar cookies with the kids. These layouts are amazing, thank you for your generosity and chance to win. Merry Christmas to you.
