Soft Spring cards with Laurie Schmidlin

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!  I don't have anything green to share with you today (my bad), but how about something soft & cheerful instead?  :-)

 

I have to admit, this first card is my favorite!  Just looking at it makes me long for even a hint of Spring!  Even though that might take a while (we live in an area where Spring comes very late), I can dream...and stamp using Spring inspired colors!
After running my background piece of patterned paper (Scarlett Wallpaper from Glitz Design) through my die cutting machine using an embossing folder, I lightly sanded it to give a slightly distressed look.

For my next card, I kept the same basic color scheme, but went for slightly brighter shades.  I just adore the sweet image of the bird delivering a love note...it's sure to brighten anyone's day!
