Cheerful cards with Laurie Schmidlin

Good morning!  Lately our weather has been so cold and dreary, and I was in need of some cheering up!  So, I grabbed a steaming cup of tea, locked myself in my stamp room, and dug into the new Dance in Sunshine line from Glitz!  The warm, sunny colors soon had me smiling again!  :-)

I couldn't decide which papers I wanted to use first, so I used almost all of them!  :-)  I first stamped the background kraft layer using stamps from the Dance in Sunshine set, then punched out nine different circles from the Dance in Sunshine patterned paper collection! 



My next card was inspired by my teenage daughter!  She's about two months into her Sophomore year in High School and the "newness" of the year has definitely worn off.  The daily studying, getting up early, and traveling an hour (one way) to school  and back is starting to to take its toll on her.  I thought a card slipped into her backpack might cheer her up!  I used more Dance in Sunshine papers, a Dance in Sunshine Paper Layer, and an Epoxy Word from the Beautiful Dreamer collection.
