I am in desperate need of becoming a Domestic Goddess! I have four baskets of laundry that have been sitting in the laundry room for two weeks needing folding. Now, I have three bins of dirty laundry that need to be washed, but I have no where to put them when they are clean because the baskets are taken up! LOL! The saddest part of it all! There are only two of us! LOL!

Who knew I would ever have the title Domestic Goddess? Well, add one new baby to our family and voila...HERE I AM!
I cook, clean, run errands, take care of baby, shuffle children to practices and games, scrap, blog, ....wait a second...that's not very goddess-like!?! I should be basking in the sun and having mr. mojo feed me grapes and...HEY! This is not so fancy being a domestic goddess...this sounds like 24/7 work!!! I NEED GLITZ I tell you!!!
PS No matter what, the best thing in the whole world is being home with my baby! I'd take this job again in a heartbeat!

Why should I become a Domestic Goddess? I don't want to be one, but I want one to come in daily and do all my cleaning while I scrapbook the day away. After all, why should a retired woman have to clean house, cook meals, etc.? I have done that for too many years to count.

Domestic Goddess, What's that? LOL
My DH would love to have one come to our house. Since my back surgery in February, he has been doing ALL of the cooking, dishes, laundry, any and all housework, etc. So yes, "he would love to have a Domestic Goddess come to our house and help him out." LOL
Thanks

How about Desperate Domestic Goddess? :) Working full time in a job I can't stand while trying to do what I love on the side.. all of my household duties somehow get pushed to the backburner.. if there was an award for "Leaving wet clothes in the washer the longest" I would definitely take it home :)

That's a great name for someone who in reality is dizzy from running around in circles, cleaning, working, bathing the boy, picking up toys, nursing boo boos, cooking, waking by her jigsaw puzzle and actually finding a piece that fits, walking by the scrap table and knocking out a quick 15 minute layout, and then finally collapsing! LOL!!

Bobbi said...

Domestic goddess-well, I'm more like a domestic wanna-be-goddess!!!!

First of all, nothing about me looks goddess like, plus-I'm not all that good at the domestic stuff. I keep enuf clean clothes and clean dishes-and the kids half/way clean too!!! I need to work a little on my Martha Stewart stuff tho!!

I left for the weekend to scrap. My DH was home alone with our six children. I definitely need to become a Domestic Goddess after being away (I did scrap 25 pages, though!)

Daisydo said...

I wouldn't say I am a domestic goddess. I'm way to frazzled for that!

Let's see 4 kids (12 boy,11 boy,8boy,4 girl: The three boys all participate in sports. A preschool with a serious Princess obsession!, and a husband who plays hockey 4 days a week. Oh, and did I mention a mother who lives with me?

All that.. plus I get the privilege of working 40 hours a week at home.

No, There is nothing domestic about me! (wink)

Homework, play time, cooking, cleaning,...teaching, loving, cuddling, caring...I am THE Domestic Goddess! I am a SAHM of 4 young people, and since hubsters is a Marine, I am a single parent 1/2 of the time. I'm a little OCD. So, I am constantly cleaning, doing laundry and dishes. About 2 weeks ago my good friend, Laura, got me hooked on scrapping. I use it as an outlet and for my "me" time...although, I always share that time with my young people. I'm so "un Glitz", though....I could really use it! ;-)

Shelley said...

Domestic Goddess, who me? Yeah right. I'm a lousy cook, I don't see the need to clean up my scraps...But seriously, I do need to get more organized. :)

Sue said...

I would love to put on the glitz in my scrapbooking. My only claim to being a domestic goddess is great chocolate cupcakes. I wish I had Nigella's figure but I love my cupcakes!!

Leah C said...

There are such things as Domestic Goddessess? I thought all SAHM's were as dedicated to scrapping as I am. haha jusssssst kidding. Of course, in reality, my hubby would LOVE for me to be a DG.

Megan A. said...

I am not a domestic goddess, but my DH is getting close to being a domestic God! I am a WOHM and he is a SAHD. He had the dad part down, but is working on the domestic part. But let me just say, that having dinner on the table when I get home is AMAZING!

pebblesjns said...

I'm a Domestic Goddess because in addition to going to college full time to become an Elementary school teacher (which is a domestic goddess in it's own right!), I run my household. I do laundry, clean, cook, run errands, pay the bills, wash the dishes, etc. on a daily basis. I am also preparing myself, our family, and our house for a baby. My husband does help a little, but we all know that men tend to create more of a mess than they really clean! On top of all of that, I still manage to find time to record our family memories through the art of scrapbooking!

Holly said...

Why I am in desperate need of becoming a Domestic Goddess is very simple.. I am a mom of 4 boys. I occasionally take a break for ME time, but that comes few and far between. If I become a domestic goddess I can award myself the pleasure of ME time and explain to my boys that I need to do my duties as a domestic goddess and take the ME time I need. As a requirement I would have to do this for 1 hour every other day. This will give me my time plus time to scrap and do ME things.

When I stopped working full time - I dreamed of becoming a real Domestic Goddess but alas I am still waiting for my fairy Godmother to transform me!

Carole said...

In need of an album about me - I work full time at a job that is okay ( but it pays the bills ) wishing I was at my part time job at the LSS ( which I love ) and then being a full time single parent of a soccer star and track athlete....then there are two dogs and two cats and a pond full of koi....then there is lunches to get ready, dinner and of course a snack.....then have to watch American Idol and Biggest Looser which gives me no time to be domestic at all...then Saturdays I have been pulling up sod and redoing my entire front yard so then again no time but midnight to do the cleaning and laundry....my week in a nutshell that needs to be documented in a great album....

After being a stay at home mom for 2.5 years, I'm finally starting to become a domestic goddess. Now with a 2.5 year old and 9 month old twins I have to be a domestic goddess or I can't find a path to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Because of it Mommy doesn't get any time for herself. Daddy gets his weekly football games....Mommy needs her Glitz! :)

Not even sure what a domestic goddess is at this point in my life...my husband cleans and cooks and does laundry and takes care of the baby and walks the dogs and fixes up the house and grocery shops...but at 28 years of age, wife for 2.5 years and new mama...I should let my husband have his manhood back and stop being our domestic goddess!!

I would say Domestic Disaster more appropriately describes me!!! I aspire to be Domestic Goddess. I am sure many of us feel this way, there just aren't enough hours in the day to "do it all". I try to balance it the best I can. Kits (like the one you're giving away) and coordinated supplies really help me to fit scrapbooking into the mix. This for the chance to win.

Marfa said...

I wish I were a "domestic goddess" ...we all love a homemade dinner, but all too often, we have sandwiches. Oh, yes, I have piles of laundry on the bed, right now. I know I should be spring-cleaning, but there are other things I'd rather do (like scrapbook) or check out the blog-world. ;)
And I've got to take the girls to ballet class in 15 minutes....

I am in desperate need of hiring a domestic goddess! I spend my days curing cancer (I'm an Oncology Nurse). When I come home from work I have very little time to scrap and craft. I spend too much time doing housework and cleaning up after my two dogs, one cat, and four birds. If I could hire a domestic goddess, I'd have lots more time to scrap.

Frank said...

Well, not everyone is a domestic goddess...I prefer the title of domestic god... ;)

Texas men aren't afraid of a little housework, for the most part. IF you can peel them away from the television and video games, that is.

I will say this, though, despite all the housework I do, I still do manage to find time to crop on Saturday nights.

So, if you don't mind having a Domestic God around, I'll be around. lol

I am a domestic goddess. I think I'm the only one who really does anything around the house. And my scrap room really needs some work. But the kitchen is about half way clean and I'm working on laundry now. I'm getting my domestic duties done and I still have time to play on the internet. Now that is an accomplishment.

I have referred to myself as a Domestic Goddess for years. I have two kids and a husband that is deployed right now so I am pulling double duty. Oh man, this is CUTE!

I am a desperate Domestic Goddess because....let me count the ways. I've been a SAHM for 17 years which makes my kids teen agers. Need I say more? I have had trial after trial with this kids. My husband and I split up last month, after 21 years of marriage. Seems he found a new honey at the office. I'm a full time caregiver to my mom who has Alzheimer's. She has lived with us for about 4 years now. Yes, I do believe this has caused a lot of stressed on our family.

With all this going on, I'm still doing my darndest to be a full time domestic goddess.

Boy, this would sure be a boost in that direction (and I need a boost!) ;-)

To become a domestic goddess would be a dream come true! Just recently we relocated from Maine to Idaho (3,000 miles) with two children and 13 animals, so that my husband could follow his dream of becoming a Police officer. Halfway through his 6 month academy we found out I was pregnant with number 3. While he was away I ran the entire household while working part time, pregnant, and with two children under 3! Now that academy is done and my hansome son has arrived I still have a huge job of supporting my husband because of the high stress job and heavy workload he has. He works ten hour days and is so tired when he gets home that all he wants to do is relax so I tend to the children and the housework with little or no help and the only escape I have where I can spend some much needed time to myself is out of a closet full of scrap supplies and my kitchen table. I love my outlet and would appreciate becoming a domestic goddess!

Oh Darhlings! There is absolutely NOTHING domesticated about this goddess -- I am totally undomesticated and WILD to win some GLITZ GLAM ! That album is the cutest stinkin' thing I have seen in a long, long time and I MUST have it !!!

Not to brag or anything but after being a SAHM for 17 years, and now working for 19 month. I am behind on everything about 19 months. My dh won't invite anyone in because he is embarassed. I just don't have the time or energy to do it ALL.

I totally need to become a domestic goddess! I have a 1 year old son and 9 o daughter--need I say more? Oh, and add the hubby to that too, there's no way I can keep up with them!

I'm a desperate housewife who's in need of becoming a Domestic Goddess. I just recently gave birth to a baby girl and while I don't sleep that much during the night, I have to be up entertaining my 3 year old daughter during the day as well as laundry, dishes and everything else that we all do. I miss working my daughter's scrapbook but I haven't touched it for a year and so far I've only gotten as far as 3 months old. And now I feel overwhelmed and behind in everything else. So make me a Domestic Goddess!!!

Oh I NEED to be a Domestic Goddess! I've been slacking so much lately on all the home duties! My house needs a fairy godmother to put it back into shape! That book is so chic and soooo what I need!

Not sure I'm much of a domestic goddess. I keep our home clean, do the laundry, mom of my two boys as well as two four legged kids.

Domestic goddess?? I'd settle for just goddess! I'm not so domestic!! I definately need help in that area! I am a part time elemntary teacher and full time mommy to a 4 year old girl, and full time wife too. Goddess sounds good so I have more time to scrapbook! Love the GLITZ stuff!

I'm in desperate need of becoming a Domestic Goddess so I can carve out some scrapbook space after cramming all the stuff for a family of four into 940 sq ft. Not much left over for scrapbooking...boo hoo! I just try to snitch a drawer here and there.

I am the Domestic Goddess of this house though I have to admit if I asked DH he would do anything relating to housework that I needed. I don't mind doing it but I really hate having to enter my older children's room. Do they not understand that clothes do not go on the floor!! I liked them better when they were little and listened!
Thanks for the giveaway.
