Mixing Old & New with Sasha Halloway

I am a firm believer that sometimes it's great to go back in time and reminisce bout the good old days. Via your clothing, songs, family and friends. I figured for my assignment I would use the new Vintage Love collection with a small hint of old Hey Dude collection for my layouts.

I decided to break out my cricut expression and bottlecaps (one of my all time favorite things to use for necklaces, magnets, bracelets and embellishments). I purchased the Hey Dude paper pack before I left for England, you can find it at your local Hobby Lobby.
I used the circle punch for the coordinating papers and added some glossy accents inside the caps.

Next up I played with the Vintage Love collection to make a 10x10 layout. I have boys so I was trying to go as grunge as possible. So I decided to add some Shimmerz, use the distressing stamps for the background.

and here I used my 2in scallop punch for the roses

So there you have it. I hope you have been inspired to go back in time and play with old paper collections that you were in love with and or that fit what you need at the time either your mood, gender of your children (in my case boys) and or just because you feel like it.
Happy Creating
