Glitz Design March 2012 Blog Challenge Winner & Top 5

Happy Saturday, everyone!!  It is a glorious spring day, and time to reveal the winner and top 5 of the March blog challenge!  The challenge was to create projects using book paper, and you all did a really wonderful job!!  It was fun to see how each participant chose to creatively use book paper of some sort!!  Thanks to everyone who participated!!

Without further ado, here is the winner of the March blog challenge, and the paper layers prize!
Georgia Heald- Journey layout
What isn't to love about Georgia's layout?!!  Such a beautiful use of one of our newest collections, Happy Travels.  I just love the background stamping and the beautiful cluster of flowers.  Georgia cut a paper layer heart and tucked it into the layering behind the beautiful photo...I just love it!  The banners peeking from behind each side of the photo are really fabulous too!  Awesome job, Georgia!  Please email your shipping address to, and we will get your prize shipped out!

And here are the rest of the projects that finish out the Top 5, with Georgia's layout being part as well!

Michelle U.- Book layout
Michelle took the challenge one step further, and actually used a book to create her layout on!  How creative and awesome is that?!!  What a beautiful piece of decor this would be in a is just lovely!  I love the fun banner that she created, and I love that she introduced aqua into the Love Games collection....such a great addition!

Wendy Kwok- Birthday gift bag
Wendy has wowed us again with her super cute and colorful decorated gift bag!!  The paper layer from the Hoopla collection is just perfect here, and really makes for a one of a kind bag.  Using your scrapbooking supplies to dress up a plain colored gift bag is an inexpensive and perfect way to create something special for whoever your giving it to...and they are sure to Oooh and Aaaah over the gift bag just as much as the gift inside it!  Be sure to click over to Wendy's blog post as well, because she created two more amazing things using Glitz Design product!

Polly's card is so pretty, and I just love the colors!!  Polly used book printed paper as her background, and for the two scalloped strips...which gave this card a lovely vintage feel!  I am totally loving the label layer with the Eiffel Tower and beautiful sentiment...and the aqua flower is a pretty touch!!

Julianne McKenna-DeLumen- New Beginnings layout
Julianne's layout is so gorgeous, and full of so much texture!  She crinkled, distressed and inked up her paper layers, and added them behind her photos...and they look just amazing!!  Add in all the beautiful flowers and jewel flourishes....and there is just so much to take in and look at.  I love the fun colors, and that super cute Whatnot peeking from behind the photo as well!

Well, there you have it!  Our winner and Top 5 from the March Blog Challenge!  Thank you so much for playing along with us this month, and if you didn't get the chance to....I hope you will join us in April!  It is a goodie!  The April Blog Challenge will post on Monday morning, and kick-off all the amazing inspiration our design team has in store for you!

Here is hoping you have a wonderful rest of your weekend!
